The Tokyo Preparatory Committee for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games has released a concept map of the new National Stadium as the main venue for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The IOC plenary session voted in Buenos Aires, Argentina, September 7, to elect the host city for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Tokyo, Japan, defeated Madrid, Spain, and Istanbul, Turkey, to host the 2020 Summer Olympics.

It is understood that Japan's New National Stadium effect map was selected by the Tokyo Olympic Games Review Committee from a number of design drawings collected globally. The design drawings came from the hands of Iraqi female architect Zaha-Hadid. From the effect map, the appearance of Japan's New National Stadium adopted a new streamlined design, the review committee. It will give a high appraisal of "strong sense of internal space, echo with Tokyo metropolitan space" and "open and close skylights increase the practicability of the stadium".

According to the calculation, the total cost of the expansion of Japan's new national stadium will reach 130 billion yen (about 7.8 billion yuan). It is expected to be completed in March 2019. The stadium will be the main venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and the opening and closing ceremonies, football and track and field events will be held there.
